WireOver

Need to send files from your PC to someone else’s PC? You can very easily do so with WireOver, a tool that handles small as well as big files, a tool that can securely send files to others, a tool that is incredibly easy to use. So to recap, you can securely send small and large files to others – you can do that with a bit of help from WireOver.

WireOver is available for multiple platforms. At the time of writing this, the application is available for Microsoft’s Windows operating system and for Apple’s Mac OS X. The developer explained that a Linux version is “coming soon.”

When you run WireOver for the first time, you will be asked to let WireOver through the firewall, you will be invited to set up an account, and you will be presented with instructions on how to access WireOver.
While WireOver is running you will see an icon in the system tray. Left click it to be presented with the application’s very simple interface. Then right click it to be presented with the application’s Settings menu.

As mentioned above, WireOver can be used to transfer files. The process goes something like this:
On your end – drag and drop the files you want to send, pick or enter a recipient, enter a message (this is optional), hit the send button, wait for the recipient to accept the transfer and wait for the transfer to complete.
On the recipient’s end – the recipient will receive an email informing him about the transfer; then the recipient launches WireOver and accepts the transfer.

WireOver is available as a Free and as a paid Professional version. End-to-end encryption, the feature that ensures no one other than the recipient can access the files you send, is supported only by the paid Pro version.

Easily, conveniently, and securely send big files to others. That is what you can expect to get from WireOver.
